Count off, Rec / Play 1 2 3 4!
Your metronome should not count off, or click down 8 times, or play for 2 bars before you can begin recording to a track. 4 clicks, or a 1 bar count down will do just fine. Efficiency. I normally skip videos when the beatmaker leaves the metronome active while showcasing online. It’s equivalent to watching a video of someone talking and the smoke detector chirps. It takes away from everything.
