A Legacy of Positivity, Still Going Strong

Arrested Development, the Atlanta-born collective famed for their soulful, conscious hip-hop, continue to carry their uplifting message into the present day. Since bursting onto the scene in 1992 with classics like “Tennessee” and “People Everyday,” the group has maintained a powerful presence in music and culture—even through ups and downs.

Their Latest Release: Adult Contemporary Hip-Hop

On July 4, 2025, Arrested Development dropped their 16th studio album, Adult Contemporary Hip-Hop, co-executive produced by Speech and UK boom-bap maestro Configa. A 20-track project, it honors the late Twan Mack and blends soulful lyricism with jazz, boom-bap, and deeply introspective themes—from melanin pride to legacy and mortality.

Key singles like “All I See Is Melanin” and “Pack It Out” stand out for their lyrical depth and musical craftsmanship, reaffirming AD’s dedication to real, reflective hip-hop.

On the Road: Still Bringing the Vibes Live

Arrested Development continues to tour, bringing their message of positivity to new audiences. They’re currently on “The Hip-Hop Is the Love of My Life Tour,” performing alongside The Roots and Digable Planets. Their shows are energetic and deeply engaging—mixing new music from their latest album with timeless classics like “Ease My Mind.”
